I first started studying music in my hometown of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of six, when I started taking piano lessons. I picked up the trombone in the sixth grade when I joined my middle school’s band program, and haven’t put it down since. After graduating from high school in 2011, I went on to study music at Oklahoma State University under the tutelage of Paul Compton, and in the fall of 2015, I received my Bachelor of Music degree, graduating summa cum laude with an Honors College Degree.
I just finished my Master of Music degree at Boston University, where I studied with Don Lucas, Gabe Langfur, and Toby Oft. I have also been fortunate enough to attend the Sewanee Summer Music Festival in 2013, the Eastern Music Festival the summers of 2014-2016, and Bar Harbor Brass Week in 2015.
